I thought I would try a misty landscape, so I started making up these block shapes in orange tones which gradually evolved into this sketch (top). I then colour corrected the image to give it more of an early morning feel (bottom).

Mountain and Castle sketch
I really like doing these sketches and making up environments.
This will possibly be my next full matte painting.
